The situation

Goood is built on a simple diagnosis: organisations have never had more tools or information, yet still struggle with fragmented experiences and inconsistent execution. The studio's answer is the principle it is named for in spirit, quality obsession: an obsession claimed proudly, because it is what drives the curation of every frame, every choice, every deliverable to one standard.

My contribution to the project sits at the centre of the brand: directing and producing the studio's 90-second brand film, a piece that had to do three jobs at once: establish the visual language, demonstrate the standard the studio promises, and prove a thesis about AI and craft.

Directing the film

The creative direction is quiet luxury: people enjoying unhurried, tactile moments, with the digital, devices, interfaces, interactions, always at the centre of the frame. Slow pacing, elegant transitions and a classical score carry the message of a high-value practice without a single line of sales copy. That association is quality obsession made visible: the same instinct that curates every frame is what the quiet-luxury language communicates.

The film closes on the studio's promise: "For Those Who Can't Fail." Goood builds for businesses that do not have the option of getting it wrong, and works with the same mentality. Promise, deliver, to a high standard, full stop.

Every layer was designed to compound:

  • AI-generated scenes under full creative control. Stills were developed with Google Gemini, Nano Banana Pro and GPT Image; for motion, I chose ComfyUI running the LTX 2.3 model, because node-level control let me hold the generated video to the fidelity of the stills I had designed, rather than accepting what a hosted tool returned. The opening scene, a tennis player lying on the court, wind moving through the frame as she reads her phone, was built this way

  • Curation as craft. Stock footage was selected by colour and treatment, then unified in post through colour grading, so generated, filmed and stock material read as one world

  • Typography and brand geometry. Serif type animated with restraint, and the shapes of the brand itself used to frame subjects and mask transitions, making the identity the film's connective tissue

  • Finishing. Grain, subtle chromatic aberration and 3D sequences, including the data-to-decision passage, visualising how the studio thinks

Why this case matters

This film is a thesis in 90 seconds: the tools did not make it, taste did. Anyone can generate a beautiful AI image today. Holding generated, filmed and stock material to one standard, in service of a brand argument, is only possible with years of traditional animation, branding, VFX and post-production behind the choices. Goood is where that standard gets applied without compromise, and this film is its opening statement.
